The Gallery on Sixth is a different kind of gallery in two aspects. The first being that it is a Craft gallery and not a fine art gallery. The primary focus at TGOS will be on handmade fine craft. Beautiful wood turnings, one of a kind pottery, glass, jewelry, sculpture, paintings, photography and items made in other media that is crafted from scratch.
If you are looking for examples of fine craft and what a craft gallery is about, I recommend the following magazines, Niche, American Style and American Craft. All can be located on line and the latter two can be found at your local Barnes and Noble.

The second is, the artist and the patron come before the profits of the gallery. The mission is to provide the artist/craftsperson with a retail outlet for their products. To have a physical presence “Retail Store” as well as a internet presence. To promote the artist/craftsperson and to educate the community on fine craft through shows and education. When you purchase works at TGOS you are buying directly from the artist, there is no middleman.
